Choosing your scooter provider is the most important part of your new purchase! When buying a new scooter, you want to feel like the dealership you chose to work with is honest and has your best intentions in mind. It’s important that you feel like when you need maintenance done on your new scooter, you can trust them to do the job right. These are the values that we strive for on a daily basis at Herb’s Scooters. We only provide quality products and have a full service center on site to care for every vehicle we sell.
Herb’s Automotive was founded by Herb Tatasciore in the late 1950s. Herb was a pioneer in the auto electric field, rebuilding generators and starters. In 1976, his son Joe and daughter-in-law Maria came on board and took over the family business. As the business grew, Joe and Maria expanded the business into a full automotive repair facility. We are a top certified emission test center for Connecticut State Emissions and a certified repair facility. Joe and Maria fully guarantee customer satisfaction on any automotive services. We are a family-orientated repair shop. Every customer is treated with the utmost respect from Joe and Maria and their staff. We also provide fun transportation selling and repairing motor scooters. Our motto is: “If you’re on the road and your car won’t go, pull to curb and call Herb’s.”
Herb’s Automotive is a certified NAPA AutoCare Center; we are able to provide the benefits of an established national entity while maintaining the personal touch of a family-owned business. We understand that your vehicle is a major investment, and that is why we care for each customer’s vehicle as if it were our own.
We have chosen to team up with some of the best scooter manufacturers and distributors in the USA. Our suppliers have full control over the parts used on their scooters, which allows them to ensure they are putting forth a quality product. Our top two lines of scooters, Bintelli Scooters and Adly Scooters are some of the best in the business. They offer manufacturer backed warranties, parts support, a nationwide dealer network, and transferable warranties.
When you purchase a scooter you need to not only look at the initial scooter purchase price, but also the cost of keeping the scooter running. This is called “Total Cost of Ownership”. Low quality scooters in the marketplace end up costing you more in parts and labor to keep them running, where they end up being more costly over the first year or two of ownership, then buying a good scooter to begin with.

Our goal is your customer satisfaction. With models in all different price points, we have something for everyone! When you buy from us there is support after the sale because we want you to tell your friends. Please call, email, or stop in and we can show you how fun scooter riding is!
